How Marriott Services looks after the personal information you give us. It covers this website and the enquiries and jobs that come through it.
Who we are
Marriott Services is a small, family run business that builds garden fences, gates and decks, and clears rubbish, for homes in Plymouth and the surrounding areas. We are responsible for the personal information described on this page.
You can contact us at info@marriottservices.co.uk or on 01752 246170.
What information we collect and why
If you use the contact form on this website, we collect your name, email address, telephone number and the message you write. We use it to reply to you and to give you a quote.
If you phone, email or message us, we keep the details you give us, such as your name, address and what you would like done. If you go ahead with a job, we also keep job records and payment records.
We use this information because you have asked us for a quote or a job, because we need to keep proper business and tax records, and because it is in our legitimate interest to run our business and reply to enquiries.
Photos of our work
We take photos of the jobs we complete and show some of them on this website. We only show photos of a customer's property with their permission, and we do not put customers' names on the website.
The contact form
When you send the contact form, the message is emailed to us. To stop spam, the form uses a Cloudflare security check, which can receive your IP address and some information about your browser so that it can tell you are a real person.
Cookies and similar technologies
This website uses Google Analytics, through Google's Site Kit plugin, to count visitors and see which pages are useful. It sets cookies in your browser and collects information such as the pages you visit, the type of device and browser you use, and your approximate location. We use this to improve the website, not to identify you personally, and we do not use it for advertising.
Our pages also load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your IP address is sent to Google when a page loads.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on from tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. The website will still work if you do.
Who we share your information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where it is needed to run the website or do the work, or where the law requires it. The companies that handle information on our behalf are Hostinger (our website host and email provider), Google (website statistics and fonts) and Cloudflare (the form security check).
Some of these companies may process information outside the UK. Where they do, they rely on safeguards that the law allows.
How long we keep your information
We keep information only for as long as we need it. As a guide, we keep enquiries that do not lead to a job for up to 12 months, and we keep job and payment records for six years, which is what we need for tax and accounting purposes.
Your rights
You have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct it, to ask us to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to ask for it to be moved to someone else. To use any of these rights, contact us using the details above.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we use your information, we will update this page. This policy was last updated on 3 November 2026.
